HCS SB 950 -- NAMING OF CORRIDOR

CO-SPONSORS:  Gibbons, Klarich (Griesheimer)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 10 to 0.

This substitute designates a portion of Interstate 44 located
within St. Louis and Franklin counties as the "Henry Shaw Ozark
Corridor."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this designation will bring
recognition to the area and help attract business.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Gibbons.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
